fast track ultra drivers version 6.1.8 and cakewalk sonar

I can't seem to get the new version of the fast track ultra drivers to work in sonar x2 under asio mode and windows 8 x64. the interface is not recognized at all. any other sonar users out there who have succeeded in this??

any help appreciated...

Have you asked on the Sonar forum, if there's Sonar users that have been able to use the fast track ultra in Sonar?

yeah, sure did. was hoping there are sonar users here that don't frequent the cakewalk forum...

Maybe there's some here, but being that this is an avid forum, your best luck to see if someone actually uses Sonar with said product would be there.

In the mean time, is this the driver you tried? If so, uninstall it completely, reboot, re-download a new version of the driver and install it.

the old version worked. the new version - 6.1.8 released this month - does not. only in sonar so far. i am posting here because this is an avid product, and believe the community is here to support other users with their knowledge and experience.

Absolutely! but since the vast majority here are pro tools users, it might be harder to get someone to answer you about sonar, not impossible, but harder.

I'll link this to the Avid people maybe they have a solution for this.

thanks Manny. I know it's not totally practical to test new drivers on every daw so feedback from hardware users can be helpful sometimes. i appreciate you taking the time to do this.

just a follow-up - the drivers work in sonar 32bit but not x64. still haven't found a work-around.

I'm using the new drivers (I think it's 6.1.10) for Fast Track Pro in Sonar X2 on a 32-bit machine and they did install, but I noticed last night that they only install what appears to be a single analog input and single out and single SPIDF digital input and digital out. So, I can't send things to outputs 2, 3 or 4....

Hey Swamptooth .....i'm in the same boat ...sonar 8.5 and this new Driver aren't seeing each other .....frustrating ....windos media player doesn't have any trouble with it ...
