WTF! My Pro Tools LE 7.4 wont start up. HELP PLEASE
I have pro tools le 7.4 for windows xp. For a minute it was working great but one day I made a great mistake of installing ie8. I got "The application failed to initilize properly (0xc00000050. Click to terminate message." After figuring out pt and ie8 dont go together i quickly uninstalled ie8. I am back on ie7 but my pro tools still doesnt work!! It is giving me the same failed to initalize message. I even uninstalled pt and tried to install it but it wont start up. I have tried everything and have run out of options. Please help me.

If you have Internet explorer 8, uninstall it as it prevents PT from working.

There may be some vestige of IE8 lurking around, or you may need to uninstall and re-install Pro Tools(which doesn't affect your sessions). Somewhere on the DUC(look at the stickies) there is a thread on IE8 that might offer more info on how to clean it out.
