Desperation time! Here is what I have done so far(system specs in signature)
Started with a 100% working system on Windows 10 with my HDN card and 192. Installed MBOX Control(tried running as Admin and not). Windows audio(youtube) plays for a minute or two and then freezes(both audio and video). The instant I power the MBOX off, playback resumes thru the motherboard SPDIF out. Tried 3 different(all Avid approved) nVidia graphics cards. Loaded up a fresh install of Windows 11 and everything else and thought I had it licked, but probably just didn't test youtube long enough. After a few days, I was watching a youtube tutorial and about 2 minutes in, playback froze. Disconnect or power the MBOX off and playback instantly continues. Started over again. Fresh install of Windows 11(authorize and update again) Install nVidia driver Install Ilok, Pro Tools(newest) and Control software Nothing else and no 3rd party plugins(even uninstalled Melodyne) and youtube video playback goes for a minute or two, then either freezes completely, or video continues with no audio. The only way I can get it to work is by removing ALL nVidia software. I would be happy to work that way, but it only allows for a single screen(out of 3 connected). The nVidia software was freshly downloaded from the nVidia site today and I only installed the most basic options. Any ideas are welcome and note that HDN works flawlessly under all conditions ![]()

Followup: removing nVidia does not solve it. If anyone is running MBOX Studio on PC with radeon graphics, please drop the exact model so I can try that before I hang it up.

I doubt using the same parts is going to be the answer and my system is far from the latest and greatest. I also use a Gigabyte MB (Z390 Designare), Nvidia RTX3060 and I usually try to get a processor with only physical cores, so I'm using an i7-9700KF. Memory is Corsair Vengeance DDR4. I never overclock or mess with voltages, so my system simply runs as intended. The MB supports Thunderbolt and I have the MBox connected to the TB/USB-C port on the back, so no adapters or anything. OS is Windows 11, always kept up to date. I do not have any additional virus software or any other programs for that matter loaded on the system. Pretty much stock Windows with Pro Tools and whatever Plug-Ins I use. Web browser is Edge that comes with Windows and like I said, no issues with videos. |

Hmmm, thanks for the info. I am going to borrow a Macbook to verify the Mbox is not at fault. Everything else in the rig is setup correctly and HD/Native(PCIe card and 192) works great. Since neither of my PC's have the small USB-C ports, I am stuck using an adapter, but that shouldn't be an issue(but maybe it is). I also verified that Power Management is disabled on all USB ports. At least I now know that someone does have it working on Windows though my rig is on the "older" side

Well, connected to a MacBook Pro(with the adapter) and it recorded and played back for over 15 minutes without a snag, so the Mbox is good. Guess I'll try pulling out the HDN card and either pull the USB3 card, or try plugging into the card instead of using motherboard USB............

I am cautiously optimistic. I pulled the HDN card and moved the MBOX to a USB-c port on a USB3 card I installed for extra ports and things have been working pretty smoothly since
