Pre/Post Roll not working!

I can't get pre and post roll to work. I'm using the latest version of PT 8 with the cs updates all up to date. I have dynamic transport off, and when i check p roll on the it appears to be on but i dont see the yelow flags nor does it actually give me pre or post roll when i hit record.

VERY frustrating what am i doing wrong?

Did you set the pre-/post-roll values? You can set the value easily by Opt-clicking (mac) with the selector tool prior to a selection by the desired pre-roll amount. The same works for setting the post-roll. This btw will set the pre-roll amount and turn it on if it is not already on.

is it possible this is a bug in 8.0.3? sometimes i open a session and the white flags are there and sometimes i open one and theyre not and command-k doesnt do anything.
