Mbox 2 Ignition Pack
I have the latest version MacBook Pro, and an Mbox mini2 with ProTools LE 7.4, and the Ignition Pack 2.
My protools was working fine until I tried to install the ignition pack plug-ins! Now it won't open. Can anybody help me?? I don't even think I'll know how to use half the plug ins. I can't believe the lack of general instructions or help! |

Re: Mbox 2 Ignition Pack
Give us a bit more to work with.
1. Check out this thread for the sort of detail that is needed. help us help you In particular, what OS are you using? 2. What exactly is happening when "it won't open"? Is there an error message? 3. Try moving the IP plug-ins from Library/Application Support/Digidesign/Plug-ins to the adjacent plug-ins unused folder. Put them back one at a time. On each occassion clear Prefs and relaunch Pro Tools. This process should allow you to eliminate a particular rogue/problematic plug-in. 4. Have you tried downloading the latest versions from the Digi site? http://www.myspace.com/philogg |

Re: Mbox 2 Ignition Pack
Since I loaded the ignition pack 2, version 2.1 (plug in disk) Pro Tools either fails to launch or just hangs and becomes unresponsive.
Should I delete the plug ins I just installed and see if that fixes it? I'm wondering if there may be a compatibility issue with the plug ins, my system and version of pro tools... I just performed a clean install of 8.0.3 on my new machine and experienced no problems until I loaded the ignition pack 2 cd. brand new macbook pro 2.53 ghz I5 processor running snow leopard 4 gig of 1066 mhz ddr3 sdram mbox 2 Pro Tools 8.0.3 "downloading the latest versions from the Digi site" sounds like a good plan, but I can't find them on the new avid site thanks, andy lap |

Re: Mbox 2 Ignition Pack
Most likely that ignition pack disc had older versions. I would definitely update each of them to the latest version. You'll have to download each product separately. Here's the link to that page:

Re: Mbox 2 Ignition Pack
I don't think you need to delete the old ones. I didn't do that when I updated mine. In fact some of these installers may only be updates rather than full programs.
