Default DVERB, aux track or insert on audio track

Hi,

What are the pros and cons of using an effect (in my case DVERB) as an insert on a stereo audio track (guitar recorded with two mic's)and sending to output 1-2, vs. recording the track and sending to bus 1-2, then defining an aux track with input from bus 1-2 and dverb as insert, then output that to output 1-1?

HI,

the problem with D-Verb is that it sounds worse when it´s Mix setting is NOT set to 100%.

Therefore, as it is recommended with most Reverbs BTW, is to insert it on an AUX track.
This way you can send several Tracks through 1 Reverb Instance and can control the amount
of the FX-Return with the AUX volume fader. this also saves CPU resources.

OK, thanks, makes sense. Just to get the details right, I should set the output of my original audio to Out 1-2, and also send to Bus 1-2. The aux track has input Bus 1-2 and output Out1-2. Then the final mix Out 1-2 has both the original and the aux tracks, and the level of effect is controlled by the fader on the aux track?
