Asterisk Problem???
OK... I'm a bonehead. But, I've looked through the manual and still no joy.
On the numeric key pad section of a Mac G4 keyboard.... the key below the eject button... and above the " - " key looks like an asterisk... looks like this: " * " When I'm using a time code main window to "locate"... to drive around on a track, I happened to hit that button. The main locate window goes "green" (I'm color blind) and I probably accidentally hit enter too... And now it skips to an offset time code location and won't go to an " = " entered code. What have I done and how do I get home??? Thanks in advance for your patience with the stupid. TC |

Re: Asterisk Problem???
Bump w/some more info.
The ProTools Keyboard Stickers call this asterisk function "Enter Main Counter". If a track starts at 01:00:00:00, and the PT file starts say at 00:59:57:20... after I hit the asterisk button and enter, if I use the equal sign " = " and then enter "01:00:00:00, the location skips to 01:59:57:20... I'm confused about what is happening. Some sort of offset...? I'm sure it's a simple thing... I just don't understand it. Help? |
