Exclamation Sessions Open Terminal?

Hello there
im currently working on a
Mac g5 Dual 2.5 Ghz, 4Gb ram.
Also Have Pro tools 8 and Digi Rack 003.
I used to work on Pro tools 6.4 Le , and upgraded.
I Transferred all my sessions To the New Mac.
However, i cannot open any Sessions. When i Click on the file
the Terminal opens up.Most of the sessions where made with midi,
so would there be a way of recovering the sessions or at least the Midi?
thanx-

Hi.
You should be able to open PT6 sessions in PT8. Just launch PT, go to "open..." in the file menu, and navigate to a PT6 session file. It should open.

To fix the problem you describe with session files opening Terminal, do the following:
- select a PT6 file in the finder
- select "get info" from the menu
- Change the "Open with..." to PT8
- Click "change all..."
- OK

From now on they should launch PT8 when you click them in the finder.
IHTH.

"sorry but it didnt work =[" doesn't really tell anyone anything.

When you go to File>Open Session in pro tools can you not find your files? When you try to open one, does Pro Tools give you an error? What's the error...

help us out here.
