Default Mouse or Trackball? ---Vote now!

Hi!

Just doing a fun little poll.

How many use a mouse, how many use a trackball, how many use an alternate method (graphics pad?)?

And which PT system/OS?

Kensington Expert Mouse Pro
PT 7.3 HD
OS 10.4.8

No question.. Mouse.

Old debate between many users.
Ive actually had speed and accuracy tests. So far, mouse users have a huge advantage.
However trackball users have an easier time adapting to a mouse than mouse users do to a trackball set up.

IMO, this will vary from user to user. To make the blanket statement that the mouse is faster, I don't buy it. I set the tracking on my trackball to hyperspeed and once you get use to it, I can move very quickly across the screen with very little hand movement. It also takes up less desk space since you're not lifting and placing the mouse back down. If you're faster with a mouse, it probably just means you prefer it and it works better for you, not that it's inherently faster.

Mouse.

Tried trackballs and found them to be a pain in the neck and other body parts.

I've heard that a discontinued Kensington model performed much better than the currently available crop, but that's just a rumour.
