PT9 crossgrade - which item to purchase?

Hi,
I am looking at the options for the crossgrade for LE users and I am wondering a few things.

1. If i purchase boxed version for $249 does it come with an immediate download - so I can use PT9 right away or do you have to wait for the DVD to install it?

2. Is the Inst Ex Pack worth the extra $ even if you are getting it at a 40% discount?

3. Why is the Inst Ex Pack only available with the download version of PT9? - that means the download is like 38GB or something. - rediculous!

4. Am i missing out on anything that comes in the box if I went for the download version?
