Pro Tools - Extend Selection Using Keyboard

I would like to extend or shrink a selection using the keyboard.

Desired behaviour would be something like: Holding SHIFT and pressing the '+' key would extend the end of the selection by the nudge value. Pressing '-' would reduce it. Holding OPTION + SHIFT while doing the same would change the beginning of the selection in the same way.

I have searched around but cannot find any way to do this. Any help is much appreciated.

Nudge left selection boundary right/left by Nudge value:
Option+Shift+Plus/Minus (+/–) keys (use numeric keypad)

Nudge right selection boundary right/left by Nudge value:
Command+Shift+Plus/Minus (+/–) keys (use numeric keypad)

Thank you for replying. I have tried this with no luck. It just moves the selection box the same as if I were not holding down COMMAND+SHIFT. It was one of the first ones I tried when experimenting.

I am using a wireless number pad but the keys behave as normal otherwise and if I go to Setup > Keyboard Shortcuts ... choose Search by Key and press the '+' key it shows 'Numpad Plus' and indeed even shows the 'Nudge Selection Later by Grid' option in the found shortcuts. An odd one.

Pro Tools 2023.3.0.

Works without issue here - 2023.3 / Ventura. Perhaps an issue with your wireless keypad or else something's corrupted in your shortcuts - I'd be most inclined to think it's an issue with the keypad; try it with a full-size wired keyboard.

FWIW, it's been a while, but I've never been able to get external wireless num-pads to work correctly with all the modifier keys without using Karabiner:

I've since bought an Apple wireless keyboard with number pad, all as one, and that works as expected. I've noticed when testing using 'Search By Key' that the modifier key isn't registering when you hold it down on the main keyboard but press 'minus' or 'plus' on the separate number pad. Clearly both need to be sent from the same keyboard. If a number pad had COMMAND and OPTION I'm sure it would work. A least for my problem.
