One of the most annoying bugs in the Core Audio drivers is that they crash whenever you sleep your computer and wake it up again, I'm still getting this problem with the latest version - will this ever be fixed? It would be nice to know Digidesign were looking into this problem, as all I can find on this bug at the moment is advice never to sleep your computer and to turn auto sleep off (this isn't really an option for people who run Pro Tools on their main computer)

Another solution is never have Digi Core Audio Manager running when your computer goes to sleep.

This still means that I need to relaunch all applications that use core audio whenever I wake my computer - I sleep my computer up to 5 times a day and so this gets a bit repetetive.
I don't mind putting up with it for the short term, just hoping that it's not something Digidesign are dismissing as an undocumented feature... |
