I am running PT 6.2.2 with an MBox on a iBook G3 700. I'm having pretty frequent problems with coreaudio when using iTunes. Sound output will suddenly turn to complete static. Closing iTunes and restarting it solves the problem.
I'm wondering if updating coreaudio might fix the problem, but I have a few questions: 1) how do I check what version of coreaudio I have installed? 2) On digi's page for the newest version of coreaudio (6.7), it states that ProTools 6.7 is required, and that coreaudio hasn't been tested with earlier versions of ProTools. I'm at PT 6.2.2 and can't/don't want to upgrade PT further. Anybody using a version of Coreaudio that is higher than their version of PT? Any Problems? Or, any other insight into why I'm experiencing this problem in the first place? Thanks. |
