Default C20 cap track in control 24 damaged.

Found my problem, well more than likely.
The C20 cap on the board has a damaged negative side( fitting ring) on the circuit board.

This undoubtedly is my cause, does anyone know where the negative side of the c20 cap terminates or tracks too on the power supply circuit board? I’ll need to jump the negative side to the same place if possible, realising it’s a multi layer board this is difficult but not impossible.

One Possiblyis it may be the same as the C19 cap track, however without any schematic it’s extremely difficult.

Does anyone have a schematic for this, I know it’s been asked a zillion times.

Even an excerpt for this area would be fantastic.

Regards.

Just for an update and potential fix if you need it I received my Control 24 power supply back 2 weeks ago and have it running 10 hr days perfectly now.

The company who fixed it have done several of these boards when Digidesign existed and have compiled a schematic for the board and a database of fixes related to symptoms.

My fader issue turned out to be the solder joints underneath the moles plugs where the faders attach to the power supply, these could not be seen as the cracks were so small and only divided as the board heated up.

This has been somewhat of a pain to solve, they did confirm that the C20 cap would have had no effect on the faders whatsoever. I mentioned it to them as it’s been identified by many as the potential culprit, however they said to me that more than likely unplugging the faders and plugging them back in would probably have fixed the issues and probably manipulated the soldered joints to a favourable connection that may or may not have worked either temporarily or for a while.

Either way , good to go.

Hope this helps someone.
