Default edit layout when spill zones are active

Hey there,
minor nuisance here:

I often work with a layout in the left spillzone and a track type in the right spill zone.
When I want to edit (add a track) the layout spilled to the left, after hitting 'assign' it always wants to assign tracks to spill zones.
In order to edit the layout I always have to clear both spill zones (shift - spill) and after editing repopulate them.

Any chance of still being able to modify a layout with populated spillzones? Or am I doing something wrong?

Greetings,

No, you are not in the wrong. This has been a limitation of Layouts since early days. It's not possible to modify a layout while you have spill zones active on the desk. Adding Eddie to weigh in on the discussion...

Alright. If possible to change that it would be highly appreciated.

We removed this ability a while ago because it caused a whole list of bugs that we didnt have time to fix (and do the features planed) Stability for S6 is our top priority at this point. I can ask the engineers to look at it again after the upcoming release (June).

Thanks Eddie, that would be great.
I appreciate that you prioritize stability over feature development.
