Did you get the editor to work on win11 ? How?

No I'm not doing that. But it was not hard years ago to reverse engineer much of the Editor commands/traffic. Very simple with a trivial CRC on messages. As others did as well. Nice to see how it works, no interest in reimplementing any of it's capabilities (and without the Eleven Mk II plugin UI source components there is no way anybody is gong to want to redo all that UI stuff). All just easier to move the Eleven Rack to close by and use the front panel.
There is ElevenHack - new account so I can't link but it's a Java program made by a Linux user. The device uses USB Midi so making a more fully implemented new editor is not completely out of the reach of a hobbyist developer.

However, the audio aspect of the drivers (plus a few other things like the tuner and metering) are part of the proprietary stuff that Avid did for the 11R. Why the 11R isn't class compliant is weird.

Thank you for contacting AVID.

Right now, our Development Team is still working on the new Eleven Rack driver that will support M1 computers (MacOS Monterey). We still don't have any news on when it will be completed.

The latest driver release for Eleven Rack at the moment is version 1.2.14 that supports macOS Catalina (10.15.7) and Mojave (10.14.6). [https://avid.secure.force.com/pkb/ar...-Rack-Drivers]
Does anyone have any update on this surprise but most welcome feedback from Avid?

Hey all

I'm not sure where the original info came from at the beginning of the thread. We may have been looking into the possibility of updating it while we were doing the final mac driver.

Either way, it did not get any further than being exploratory.

At this time, the latest operating system supported for Eleven Rack is 10.15.7. There are no plans for further development as End of Support will go into effect at the end of this month, June 2024, 5 years past End of Sale. For supported OS & PT versions, please see the Eleven Rack Knowledge Base Article.

So you're saying there is a chance then?

It’s a pity but if it is not going to happen thanks for clearing that up.

Pour one out for the beloved (but apparently not beloved enough) Eleven Rack.

I still entertain the idea of buying a 2019 Mac Pro w/10.15.7 just so I can use the Elevenrack PT integration. I loved it. Would ProTools 2024.3(6?) still work? Would the ElevenRack integration still work?

I miss that. Sigh.

Would it be possible getting Avid to consider making the source code of the Eleven Rack Editor open source, so the community could maybe try to find a way to update the code for current CPUs?

Just give it a rest as interface, use it as guitar sim preamp instead.

Anything that says DigiDesign in it has been out of support for some time and Avid surely is not likely to release any IP as open source.

I don't use it as an interface but rather as one of the many effects units in my studio guitar effects/pedal board setup. Programming the Eleven rack is a lot easier with the editor. I now use an old MacBook Air solely for that purpose but would love to be able to do the programming directly on my Mac Studio next to Pro Tools.

From what I gather there's a lot of people still using the 11R that way.
