Core Audio Manager Problems

The audio drive manager will not connect to my oo2.

Reset all hardware- disconnectd all firewire drives, deleted the ProTools, ProToolsLE, DigiSetup and Dae folder preferences. I restarted the mac- reinstalled PT7.3 then PT7.3.1 and then PT7.3.1cs1- I've repeared the permissions- but The core manager still doesn't respond. I can not hear anything from the monitors, but can hear audio with the internal mac speaker.

The OO2 is not muted. The OO2 does connect to the computer and they communicate, but for some reason the audio driver doesn't start.

The monitors are powered on and ready to go.

I tested the Core Audio Manager with other applications as well. With itunes the core audio driver launched, but you could not hear any audio.

system:
Mac PPC G5- 2GHz cpu, 2GB momory, OSX10.4.8, PT7.3.1cs1, CoreAudioManager7.3cs1.

Last thing: I downloaded and installed the SONY OXFORD series plugin demos last night. After that I tested to make sure each worked- since these work I have not uninstalled these yet.


Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have an update.

Now the Core Audio Manager launches when I open itunes, and I am able to hear audio from both right and left monitors.

When I launch ProTools7.3.1cs1 it still does not launch the Core Audio Manager- I have no idea what else to do, will keep trying:)


any suggestions?
