Default Timecode readout missing in LE window

Just upgraded to 7.3.1 PT LE on G5 Dual 2 PowerPC, which I just upgraded to 10.4.11. All was fine till I suddenly lost the time-code reference in top window of session.. ilok working fine, can still import & open OMF. Reinstalled both PT & OS. Uninstalled recent apps, Missing Sync, Office 2008 & PPMulator. New Mouseworks turbomouse, but it seems to be working fine. Any ideas out there of what to try next?? Thanks. rg

In the Edit window, below the Shuffle, Spot, Slip and Grid buttons, you'll see 2 icons in the black bar - click on the one second from the left and make sure that 'Timecode' is checked.

ps. would the fact it is grayed out be part of the issue why it is not reading?

Maybe your DV Toolkit authorization got knackered, or you need to reinstall (or upgrade) it? Check your iLock vs the online site that tells you what you are authed for?

DV toolkit seems fine, omf imports & opens fine. I'm stymied.

OMFs are handled by DigiTranslator so it might be the the Tool Kit part got boogerd but DigiTranslator is OK

Which version did you upgrade from?

Just in case you weren't aware, the original DV Toolkit only worked on versions 6 (.4 if I remember rightly) up to version 7.

From 7.1 DV Toolkit 2 is required. You can upgrade from the original DV Toolkit and you gain a bunch of goodies including 48 mono or stereo tracks, continuous scrolling, Digibase pro, full import session data, video editing & assorted plugins etc.

This might explain why you are still able to open OMF's but not use other DV toolkit features.

Or I may be way of target .

Upgraded from 7.0. Will try this Monday, hoping this is the brilliant solution I need. Thanks.
