Default Turn off Synch I/O Timecode Window overlay

Is there a way to turn off the timecode window
that the synch I/O puts on the video signal when
you pass it through the box?

The TV shows it, but we prefer to use the timecode
from the playback deck instead and the synch I/O
window is covering it partially.
