Default Keyboard to midi to mbox question

i just got a Triton Le keyboard and a midi adapter to use with my mbox. i am able to record midi tracks with it but i am unable to monitor those tracks through my mbox during playback. then when i change the sound setting on my keyboard, all previously recorded midi tracks change accordingly even after i recorded them.

how do i record a track with my keyboard properly, so i can:

* monitor the playback through my mbox along with the other regular audio tracks?

(and)

** set the track in stone with the sound selection i originally chose for it?

midi channels don´t play sounds, if your midi channel is routed
to your triton, the sound will come from triton outputs, if they are
conected to mbox, you´ll need to adjust with mbox mix button,
about the other, in triton you have diferent modes, if you´re in song play
you´ll be in general midi, besides, there´s no patch for triton in pt nor macs
AMS.

i suppose the reason i can't monitor off the mbox is because i cannot plug a midi cable into it? is there no way to monitor both the midi and the audio tracks from the mbox during playback? also when i bounce to disk, it seems to ignore the midi tracks all together.

no, you have the midi track, wich send the signal to your synth through the midi interfase,
then the sound of the synth comes out by the outputs of it, wich you shuld conect to the
analog inputs of the mbox.
you´ll need to record it in audio to bounce it, open an audio channel to record it,
if it was a virtual synth, you could bounce without recording in audio,
midi cables don´t carry sounds.
