Pro Tools LE 6.9.2 update failed

use tiger (os X) 10.4.2 and ugradet from 6.4 to 6.9 per official CD package. Now the update to 6.9.2 fails, says: Can´t find 6.7 - you need version 6.7......what the f!?*...recommended is 6.7 AND 6.9.....you can read it everywhre...what about new hardware releases wich are ONLY delivered with 6.9. How do they update? Help welcome ;-)

When you say you updated from 6.4 to 6.9 per 'official cd package' - what are you referring to? Is this a Pro Tools 6.9 upgrade you purchased on the Digistore or from a dealer?

If your 6.9 installer does not say 'update' on it, then you should uninstall both 6.9 and 6.4, then reinstall 6.9 from that cd. You should then be able to run the 6.9.2 updater.

let me explain it to you:

well, I got an 6.9 upgrading kit from my dealer as I told him about my new tiger 10.4.2 system. I installed the 6.9 over the existing 6.4 and it works fine. only the 6.9.2 downloadable update doesn´t work. so - obviously I am owner of of a normal 6.9 upgrade. and it should be able to be updated to 6.9.x whatever - . maybe the row of inastallation causes the problem. I first installed 6.9 and than installed tiger? anyway - how can I fix this - cause I definetly need 6.9.2

Now that you have upgraded to Tiger, reinstall 6.9 from the CD, then the update to 6.9.2. The Tiger OS install probably replaced some necessary files.

The 6.9 dealer inventory update kit you have should include a full installer CD for PTLE 6.9 that does not require any previous version of Pro Tools. The PTLE 6.9.2 web updater requires either PTLE 6.7 or 6.9, even if the error message mistakenly says "6.7 not found".

i fixed the bug - thanx a lot. i deleted every digidesign folder except my plugIns and installed everything new. afterwards the 6.9.2 update was successfull! so the way is.....tiger first....than protools....tiger probably "destroyed" my LE. thnx from germany
