Default Re: Noise on top of Audio PT10 and Asus Z68 V Pro M-board

Did a fresh installation. Started an old session with an emptied plugins folder. No guitar emulation (bass amp room was left though), no superior drummer. It sounded allright. I started adding a few plugins. Noise! Got rid of those plugins. Same [bleep][bleep][bleep][bleep] all over.

Tried Reaper which worked before. Had the same noise, then I changed the driver to Mbox Mini Asio 64 and now it sounds normal!

The noise is by the way best described as crappy old Nintendo 8bits sound!

Is this a joke?

I formatted the disk and reinstalled Win 7. I installed PT10 inserted the Mbox Mini 3, Spotify. It sounded great. As soon as I installed the Mbox the drivers it started sounding like [bleep][bleep][bleep][bleep] again. When I inserted the Mbox Windows DID find some drivers to playback sound, but PT didn't allow me to start up!

It works on my Macbook Pro however. What is this? The end of a 10 year relationship with Pro Tools?

This was a USB-issue. Works decently with my old 002R. No noise but I would've expected more when it comes to cpu when using plugins.
