Default Re: Lost S/PDIF Output/Insert (Digi001)

Assuming you are trying to access the RCA S/PDIF ports:

-Open the Setups>Playback Engine>Other Options window and choose "ADAT" from the Optical Format menu.

-To get your I/O paths labeled correctly (and to add the additional S/PDIF output path), open the Setups>I/O Setup window and click “Default” for the Inputs, Outputs and Inserts tabs.

Ah splendid, Brent!

I'd already got as far as the "ADAT" as the Optical Format, but I'd also enabled the "S/PDIF Mirroring" option which caused the problem.

All better now.

Thanks for the speedy response. Now to sit down for the afternoon and enjoy these 32 tracks.

Have a great weekend.

Phil

Default Lost S/PDIF Output/Insert (Digi001)

Hi All,

Perhaps it's a simple preference I've overlooked, but...

- Updated the PT 32T beta without any noticeable concerns.

- Updated OS 9.1 -> 9.2.1 --> 9.2.2

- Deleted both Pro Tools 5.1 and 5.2 (or whatever they were called) preferences.

Now it seems I can't access S/PDIF output or create a S/PDIF insert (via the I/O Setup window). Basically the S/PDIF ports are missing from the Digi001 icon in all but the 'inputs' view.

I'll have to go back and re-test the 32Tbeta and 9.1, and then work out where it all went wrong, but if someone could point me towards a box or preference I may have overlooked, it'd be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Phil
