This option is only useful if you you are setting explicit voices to tracks. If you set several tracks to the same voice, this option will allow you to "cascade" the available voice to each track as similarly voiced tracks are muted/unmuted.
If you are running all your tracks as 'dynamic', you will never need to use the "Mute Frees Assigned Voice" option. |

Muting will be slightly slower with this option enabled... The only time I enable it is when using voice stealing (comping).
