I am recording 18 channels at one time for the first time Saturday in a live environment. Quick and easy question. If i have 8 audio ins on my 002, 8 audio ins thru ADAT from my Rosetta 800 and 2 audio ins from my Aphex 2 channel mic pre with s/pdif out; how do I set the clocking? I will have a chance to test tomorrow and set up Saturday. I am just hoping for a little help before I run into any unforeseen problems. Thanks to all for any help! -Brian

You need to set one of the devices as the clock master, and make sure that the Master can send clock to the other devices. for example, if you were to use the 002 as the master, then you'd need to send both ADAT and SPDIF back into the devices.
Not sure about the pre, does that have an SPDIF in? If not, maybe that should be the master. You would then set the 002 and rosetta as the slaves. To do this, you go to the "Hardware" screen and select "External" as the clock source. Make sure the Rosetta gets a clock signal, either from the pre or via ADAT out on the 002. |
