What sample rate and bit depth are you guys using?
For most rock stuff, what do you guys recommend for sample rate and bit depth. Can you hear the difference between 24 and 16 bits for the 'in your face' rock sound?

I always use 24-bit. For my clients I use 44.1kHz.

24 bit is the way to go.
Way more headroom and punchy in your face sounding if you record it right.

Yeah 24 bit is the way to go. I'm currently using 24-bit/48khz.

Same over here 24bit/44.8khz
I'm not sure why, something to do with headroom I should imagine Chris Tempest

24bit/44.1k
I tried the 48k route and it honestly didn't sound any better. This works great.

24/96
I know, you don't NEED 96k, but I do a lot of record into protools, back out of protools into my console, back into protools through my 002R so I try and keep everything at 96k because of this... if it wasn't for the bouncing back A/D D/A A/D I'd probably be 24/48 also...
