MIDI communication problem
I can't communicate with my DX7! (so what's new you all ask?) No MIDI activity to or from the DX7.
I can speak easily to the Quicktime general midi synth (on board with newer QT versions). I have tried the keyboard with Cubase and it works fine.... any clues? |

Re: MIDI communication problem
Does Cubase use freemidi or OMS?
If its freemidi, its probly setup to work. Digi 001 uses OMS. Which presently, i heard thru the grapevine, is bought out, and barely running. so don't even try to gget help from them. I've been having probs setting up my OMS set-up file for my XP-30. You may be having the same problem for your DX-7. Find someone who has the DX-7 and ask them how they set it up with OMS, and your problem, i bet, will disappear. |
