Default Generate MIDI track with chord names

Is there a way to enter chord/bass names (i.e., C - G/B - Am7 - Am/G - F - Gsus4 - G - C) and have ProTools generate a MIDI track? I use version 8 on a Mac. If this is not possible then is there another software program that will do this (other than Band-in-a-Box) and allow me to export the MIDI file to ProTools? Thanks in advance for your input.

Maybe Sibelius or Finale can do what you want. The real issue comes with what inversion of the chord do you want? A Cmaj chord doesn't always start on the note C; it can start on the E or G if we're talking about a 3 note chord. They all sound different depending on the song structure and feel you are going for. Or you get different chords that start on the same note. You can start a Cmaj chord on C just as you can start an Fmaj chord on that same C.
