Default From MBOX to Eleven

HI to you all !
Maybe a dumb question, but here i go ....
I do have an mbox3g, with pt10, works perfect.

I bought a 11Rack with pt10 (wich makes 2 licences), and what i want to do is simple : i need to sell my mbox, and use only the eleven.

I'm ok with the fact that i have to install the drivers ...etc but that's not the point.

Will it just work like this, just by installing the 11r and removing the mbox ?

ANd what will happen if i sell the mbox tomorrow (for the licence) ???

Tahnk you so much helping me cause i really don't want to make any mistake here.

You may want to think twice about selling the Mbox. The sound quality is noticeably better on it.

I recommend using the Mbox as your main interface, and when you use the 11R, use the Spidf from that to the spidf of the Mbox.

This is 100% accurate, as weird as it might seem. Had both and did heavy editing on album projects while touring in 2011.
D/A (especially) on the new mBoxes beats the pants off the Eleven Rack.

In regards to the other question, you can just download and install the drivers for the Eleven Rack, without having to install Protools over again.

The drivers for the Eleven Rack and the Mbox can co-exist on your computer with no problems.

Another option for keeping both, but making some money, would be to just sell the Protools software license from the Eleven Rack (it sounds like that's the newer of the two).

If you haven't registered the software activation code that came with it, you may be able to just sell that code to someone. The only thing is, I'm not sure if they need the code by itself, or if the Eleven Rack serial number needs to be registered with it. That could get a little complicated.

What might be easier (especially if you've already registered the software code) is to just transfer the Ilok license to the buyer, and provide a disc copy for them of the PT10 installer.
