Help. No sound coming out protools LE 8.0 and mbox 2

The mbox is on and so are the speakers but no sound comes out. Also, I am confused about how to update my protools le. We are on windows 7 with a 64 bit machine.

Any help is appreciated.

Your Mbox needs software/drivers to function. With W7 64 you'll need PTLE 8 with the BETA drivers.

yeah, for windows 7 i believe its 8.0.3 which you can get on the site as a free download

as for the sound, if you're running it through speakers, make sure they're connected to the headphone jack of the Mbox. then, make sure you're levels are all good; aka turn up the knob that is for the sound level of your head phones. also make sure your inputs are up.

This isn't exactly right Simba, The headphone jack mirrors the Mons out on the back of the Mbox when the output of PT is set to L&R. However the rear connections will have to be amplified either by amp or self-powered speakers. The headphone jack is meant for headphones.
And with W7 you will need 8.0.3 w cs4 beta drivers. These are free V8 updates.
