Default New Mac compatability questions

I am ordering a new Quicksilver. Having been a slave to Microsoft for the past several years, I was hoping for some veteran input on this proposed 001 host.
512MB SDRAM - 1 DIMM
867MHz PowerPC G4
NVIDIA GeForce2 MX - 32MB SDRAM
2 x 60GB ATA hard drives Combo (DVD/CD-RW)
17" Apple Display
I believe this meets the compatability issues, but would greatly appreciate any input from you MacDaddies out there!

Thanks much....

That's my setup for the most part. I've been warned by some to remove OSX completely...however, being new to the mac myself, I couldn't find an easy way to remove everything "OSX", so I left it on and so far I'm stable.

I'm still messing wih the settings for latency, memory alloc, etc.

I've seen negative and positive posts regarding the 867...

You might want to hold off a week until the new macs come out.
