Are there plans to abolish Core Audio HW I/O Limit?
Now that it has been announced that PT2019 will get a voice count increase of 128 I would love to know if there are any plans to abolish the arbitrary I/O bottleneck of 32 for HD/Ultimate users using Core Audio?
It seems that AVID's business model is now pretty much completely software based and with the HDN card being almost a decade old would it not make sense to let Core Audio users roam free (provided they have the appropriate license)? I doubt this would deter users from purachasing AVID hardware (HDX in particular) but may bring old time users back to the platform (myself included).

Not that we have heard and as usual Avid will keep any and all such info under tight watch and no one here would know the answer and even if someone did know then they have signed NDA’s to protect the Avid IP.
