Default MachineControl Feature Request for v7.2

Digidesign,

I, and I believe other individuals using your MachineControl option, would be grateful if you would consider implementing the following for PT HD v7.1.

•Place all of the settings and preferences related to MachineControl in a single window.

It is an unproductive use of time to have to go to Setups-->Preferences-->Machine Control to change a MachineControl preference, especially if its a preference that you are toggling on/off constantly, such as Machine Follows Edit/Insertion. If you need to change your deck's preroll setting, or change decks for that matter, you would then have to go Setups-->Peripherals-->Machine Control. If you need to set or tweak an offset, you need to go to the Session Setup window. Only the last window can be reached with a keyboard shortcut.

I believe it would be much faster if these settings and preferences were accessible in a single location, such as what is today the track arming window (Apple+6). If you do not have MachineControl authorized, you cannot even load this window. I think it would be a good location to put everything related to MachineControl - preferences, settings, track arming, etc. Please understand that I do appreciate MachineControl having its own tab in the Preferences window, yet I believe consolidating these functions and related ones further would be beneficial. It would certainly speed up the way we work by eliminating so many menu-based functions.

If anyone else wants this, please reply with "me too", and nothing else.

Thanks for reading!

Great suggestion! It could be it's own item under the "Setups" menu.

Excellent suggestion. Not until you said it did I realize how much I do go back and forth.
Couldn't it be a consolidated feature in the transport window. Just like you have Midi Functions?
Maybe that would be kind of messy.

Bounce to top. Hopefully Danny doesn't mind my jumping on his bandwagon.
