Sansamp is included in all version of Pro Tools. It's installed with Pro Tools by default as one of the core plugins (but be aware there is a rare bug with Pro Tools installer on Windows where the core plugins sometimes do not get installed, easy to fix, I've posted about it multiple times on DUC).

Again what *exact* license do you have? Just write it out totally clearly. Be clear if you have a current Pro Tools Studio subscription, if a perpetual license then make clear if you have an active support plan (which then gets you the additional plugin licenses subscriptions) or has that plan lapsed? What Pro Tools version are you running? e.g. "I am running Pro Tools Studio 2024.10.1 with a subscription license"

If you have a current subscription or support/update plan then you have a current license with that for Eleven Mk II, which includes a MESA Boogie Dual rectifier and some other high-gain amp sims.

Eleven Mk II plugins are not core plugins bundled in the Pro Tools installer, you need to run the separate Eleven Mk II installer. And if you want to install those, I would not waste time with unreliable Avid Link, uninstall Avid Link after you install Pro Tools, and download the plugin installers from your "My Products" section of your Avid.com account and run them directly.

For metal, try the free Goblyn AAX from Aurora. It's based on a 5153 and is very quick to get a sound from.

I have a Pro Tools Studio annual subscription for $299.

OK so you have the the Avid Complete Plugin Bundle included with your subscription, that includes the Eleven Mk II Amp Sim which has several high gain amps. Eleven Mk II offers the same amp sims as later/final versions of the nice Eleven Rack guitar processor.

Have you just not installed the plugins?

Again, I would *not* use Avid Link bloatware to manage Avid software installs. I like many folks here run the Avid Link uninstaller after installing Pro Tools and keep that crap off your system.

You need to download and run the Eleven Mk II installer that should be in your Avid.com account "My Products" section.

If just getting started you should probably install all the plugins from all the installers in your My Products section and see what they have to offer. Especially make sure you install the Eleven Effects effect pedals plugins from the Eleven Rack.
