I have tried and tried with S6, S4, and Dock. Scrub performance is identical and mostly useless. It is very wobbly and not responsive. So I'd like to know if I'm doing something wrong or if anyone has found a use for it.
For context I used Fairlight systems for 20 years or so. And to be clear I've been using PT for even longer. I very much prefer to edit music while scrubbing. And dialogue but I can get by with a mouse for that. But for example scrub with the wheel then try scrubbing with the mouse. It sounds and feels completely different. Mouse I can actually use to find my edit points. The wheel I give up almost immediately. I guess the main question is why is it so different? Also I'm not looking for alternative uses for the wheel. Moving the playhead is fine, clip gain whatever. I want to scrub ![]()
