MIDI CONFLICT MSSG W/REASON & PT
WHEN I'M IN PT AND BRING REASON INTO THE SESSION. A MESSAGE COMES UP TELLING ME THAT REASON MIDI IS INACTIVE BECAUSE PT IS OPERATING. IS THERE A DIFFERENT MIDI HOOKUP I SHOULD DO OR SETTING? RIGHT NOW I'M RUNNIN MY OUT/KYBD INTO MY IN ON MY MIDI PCSNDCARD PORT. I'VE TRIED RUNNING DIRECTLY INTO THE 002 TOO. I GET THE SAME MESSAGE.

The message is 'normal' (?? ??), and a long time complaint. It just means that when in rewire mode, protools 'steals' the MIDI inputs from reason. You can basically ignore the message and use MIDI inputs on MIDI tracks in protools to control MIDI in reason.
There is a DiskFlix video on how to use reason adapted with protools through rewire, but the procedure applies to the full version as well. Also, using all capitals is typically considered 'shouting', and used only for emphasis. Please don't shout.
