Default Is 6.9 stable?

I am currently using 6.4 TDM in a PC and it is VERY stable. I am having a Digidesign tech dood upping me to 6.9 on Friday this week. Does anyone have any problems with 6.9 TDM that they would like to share?

As long as you don't use MIDI and RTAS instruments, you should have nothing to worry about.
If you do, and need it to work flawlessly, I would wait if I were you.

Best Regards,
John

hello,

i'm running 6.9 with hd 3 on a pc
it looks more stable to me than 6.7
hardware setup is easier, and some other things too
for instance, with 6.7 i had something going on with a stereo
master fader, when i put a stereo track in input-mode, i had
only the right channel going out the master
as soon as i changed the level of the masterfader, let say
from 0.0db to -1.0db, the left channel came back

More stable than 6.7 ALOT!

New great features however it use more ram there is a major memory leak since 6.7 and 6.9 didn't fix that.

More RAM = Better

Hi Rock Artist,
Man, I'm getting the memory leak also. Please email me off line so we can discuss this. How much ram are you using?
Peace,
Brandon

I just confirmed it's a PT software issue. I didn't change anything else but the version of PT. 6.4 uses 300 MB of ram. 6.7 and 6.9 use 500 at first play and 2 MB of ram every addition play. WTF man. This really need to be fixed. By the way, I only see the memory leak on bigger session with lots of automation. DIGI, what's going on?
Peace,
Brandon

Yeah!!!!!!!! Please fix the leak.

One thing, I was told buy digi that if I minimize pt and max it again, the memory resets itself. This is not the case with the paging file. You can see it in the task manager. PF stays the same when you minimize pt 6.9. Ass soon as you use an audio suite process, the memory maxes and no paging file is left. This makes PT just about unusable. So digi, please test this also.
Peace and thank you,
Brandon

It's not just one leak there are some leaks in the code.
I've also can confirm now after upgrading our rig that it's not only memory that counts.

We have no 2GB of RAM and still after some period of working especially with those big sessions when you chop everything with BeatD. the system gets sluggish ...

So RAM would make it function better but not make the sluggishness stop.
