Quick Question...

okay so i just got an external hard drive for pro-tools,
im just not sure on how to get pro-tools to record to the drive

i pretty much went into the workspace clicked my external to say "R" for record.

then hit my internal hard drive to say "P" for playback.

is this the right way???
