Default PT 192 Digital interface?

I have PT HD1 installed core card connected to 192 digital interface. My trouble is I need to record vocals and need to monitor via headphones, however I did not know I couldn't just plug my mic and headphones into the 192 Digital I/O new to HD interfaces. What is the missing link? What piece of equipment do I need to connect my mic and headphones into and then connect to the 192 digital I/O to monitor and record into PT? I do not record multiple instruments; mostly mixing and vocals.
Thanks

First, you need a pair of cables to go from the D-sub connectors out to XLR or TRS plugs. Then you need an external mic preamp for an input and feed the correct pair of outputs(probably 1&2) to your speakers.

You're going to need either the M-Patch:

Or the PreSonus Listening Station.
There are others but both those are reasonably priced.
Then you'll need a DB25 to either TRS or XLR.

With presonus' central station I may have to get a micpreamp because I will not be able to record vocals using the central station into the 192 digital I/O.

Yes you will need a mic pre.
The mic pre goes into your converters.
Converters go into your HD card.
The Central Station is just for listening.
You hook up your monitors to it and headphones etc.
Are you sure you're posting in the right forum?
You may want to post in the LE forum.

Yes I am posting in the right forum I have the 192 Digital I/O and the HD1 Core Card.

I didn't realize all the hidden costs till it was too late. From my understanding the 192 digital I/O only recieves digital inputs and its outs are also digital. Therefore I need a AD/DA converter, a micpre, and some way to montor the audio. Maybe a headphone peramp connected to the converter.

The reason I am asking here is because I assumed everyone here is using PT HD and would provide some direction on the required pieces to make this work.
Here is what I have hooked up, PT is running fine on the PC.
PC Computer
Pro Tools HD 8
HD1 Core Card PCI-X
192 Digital I/O
Thanks.
