personaly i would trust nothing less than reinstaling back to original osx with your disks, then reinstall pro tools, security updates tend to like to leave things even if you uninstall them. and start listening to digi and the duc, look how many posts there are here about 10.4.10osx, but people are still jumping the gun!

You are not neccesarily screwed. I have 10.4.10 and I just went to the DigiDesign support site and downloaded something that fixes the Pro Tools start up problem. Here is the link. Digdesign Support Downloads Scroll down about half way and there is a downloadable fix for running on 10.4.10, its called a Pre-Binding update or something. The update only takes about 5 minutes and is very painless. Good luck!

good idea keep patching things up instead of running rock solid for years, the trade off for a small apple upgrade verse reliability if your trying to make music is not worth it. wait for large, drastic changes in better performance, or better reliability, nothing else matters!!!!!!!!
