002 with PT HD...silly question?
Hello all. This may be a very silly question but I was asked by an engineer the other day if hooking up a 002 control surface to an HD system (specifically HD3) is possible in ANY way. So is there ANY way to do this? It doesn't matter how complicated or technical the process may be. I have an inkling the answer is a plain "no" :-/ Thanks!

Re: 002 with PT HD...silly question?
Control Surfaces & MIDI Interfaces with Pro Tools HD 7 for Mac OS X 10.4 compatibility page:
"The built-in Digi 002 faders cannot be used to control any device other than that Digi 002." A single Command|8 could be used as a control surface, but not a Digi 002.

If the reason you are doing this is to increase your inputs, you can connect them, but they need to be running on two different computers.
