apogee big ben clocking an mbox 2 pro. overkill??
I just got an apogee big ben and I have it clocking an mbox2 pro. Is it insane overkill?

I don't think so, but I'm into wretched excess. The bigger question is; does it sound better? If its yes, then its not overkill

It may be overkill in the sense that you could put the money into a better digital converter that has superior clocking (and let the Mbox 2 be clocked from that via spidf) which would give you much more sonic benefit.
The Big Ben is more important when you have several digital sources you need to clock together. |
