Audio Midi setup utility problems
I am running PT 8.04 cs2 on a MAcpro 2.66 quad-core running snow leopard and the audio midi setup utility will not switch to my pro tools hardware for input or output. PT is working fine and outputs properly, but the utility won't switch so other apps like Jam only output to the Macpros speaker. If I boot from a difft drive running Leopard 10.5 the utility works fine. Would like to avoid a reinstall of everything........Any idea what might be causing the problem?/.....thanks

Re: Audio Midi setup utility problems
Which hardware are you using? If it's the 002/003 or HD keep in mind that the Core Audio driver is single client only meaning that, if you have Pro Tools open, it has exclusive use of the hardware. You must quit Pro Tools, then launch the Core Audio Manager and make sure it shows 'Connected'. You should then be able to switch your settings in AMS.
