Zoom and fit selection to window
I really hate when I've made a selection to fit the window, and when I Command-Scroll to zoom out a little PT suddenly centers the selection start. This can't be intended behavior as it doesn't happen every time?

I would say yes - it's intension.
I just checked over here: When I select a region and press alt/ctrl/f to fit selection to window and use cmnd/jogWheel on d-command, the selection centers as soon as I zoom in. When I zoom out with JogWheel, selection stays a bit....but sooner or later (depending on how fast I dial the wheel), it changes, too. That's with PT8.0.4.
