Default Command|8 trouble with Win7 x64 & PTLE 8.0.3

Hi,

I just bought a I7-860 with P7P55D-E Pro and 4 GB DDR3 to run PTLE 8.0.3 on Win7 x64 with a 002 Rack. The system seems very powerful and stable, not crashing once.

But the Command|8 doesn't work properly on this system. The Command|8 transport won't work, and it only shows from strip 7 and further. The PT software faders don't respond to the Command|8, but the Command|8 faders do respond to the software. It also looses connection all the time. I've tried the new Command|8 8.0 drivers, but no go. It used to run smooth on another computer I had running XP.

It is now set up in PT like this:
Type: Command8
Recieve from: Command|8
Send to: Command|8 [Emulated]
# Ch's 8

I would appreciate all help :)

Default Re: Command|8 trouble with Win7 x64 & PTLE 8.0.3

I had a similar problem recently. I was using a Vista system. Same response from the command 8. It would not control PT but PT could control it.

The end result was a clean wipe of my system with loading Windows 7- 64. Then loaded PT 8 and allowed hardware drivers installed (including Command 8). Then loaded 8.0.3 but had to remove the drivers first from the Add/Remove programs in control panel. I then loaded 8.0.3 but did not connect the Command 8 or my 003r. I finally loaded the separate drivers for windows 7 (connected the Command 8 and 003r for that load).

So far so good. I hope this helps. It was a bear to load/unload.........

Ok Problem Solved.

Install WIN 7 64 Bit
Disconnect ALL hardware ie; 002 rack,command 8,etc.
Install PT 8 (I included Command 8 Drivers)
Remove AUDIO Drivres (control panel add / remove)
Install 8.0.3
Remove AUDIO Drivers of the 8.0.3 (control panel add / remove )
Install Audio Drivers 64 (download from digi site)
Shutdown PC
Power up 002 Rack
Power up Command 8
Power up PC

Thank you for your replies! I had forgotten this thread and stashed the Command|8 away, but now I'll try once again with your suggestions.
