Error trying to import an mp3

Guys,

I need your help. I am trying to import an mp3. (im using PROTOOLS FIRST VER 2021). But it gives me an error "Please install quicktime before importing this mp3" Quicktime ver 10 is already installed on my MAC OS BIG SUR. mp3 is compatible with big sur by the way.

Unsure why you’re getting an error, but if you need to carry on and work, use one of the many available tools to convert your MP3 to WAV and import that into Pro Tools.

I tried that also converting into wav but still the same its frustrating i need a quick time installed before importing the wav . quicktime is already installed
