Default Cannot monitor input signal

I cannot monitor my input signal. It does record and I can hear previous recorded tracks with no problem but cannot hear my input signal while recording a track. I turned on the little green LED for auto input monitoring and that still didn't work. The signal is strong and it records I just cannot hear it in my monitor (headphones).

If you have Options > Low Latency Monitoring turned on, turn it off.

Turned off low latency monitoring and it works! I always used to have it turned on before I upgraded from Pro Tools Express to 12. I notice a little latency now but it's not bad. Is there anything I can do to improve that?
Thank you so much for the help. Even though I have one support phone call per month with my plan Avid never returned my call...

Try changing your buffer size, and check the buffer setting on your interface.

(In the H/W Buffer Size drop-down Menu) -

For recording: choose the lowest sample number available

For editing and Playback: choose the highest sample number available

You just saved my life! I've spent two days trying to figure out why my monitoring wasn't working
Thanks!
