Hi everyone,

Thanks for your patience.

A small number of users have reported having problems with VENUE 4.5.2. Upon investigation, it was determined that all incidents were due to the system components being connected incorrectly. Connecting the devices as described in the user documentation immediately resolved matters.

Out of an abundance of caution we removed the VENUE 4.5.2 software download while we looked into these reports. We are now in process of releasing an update that will further protect against incorrect cabling schemes. Look for this update in your Avid accounts soon, most likely within the next few days.

In the meantime, if you are currently using VENUE 4.5.2 we recommend verifying that your systems are connected exactly as described in the user documentation. If you are still using VENUE 4.5.1 we realize you are anxious to update to the latest version. All S3L/S3L-X customers will be notified soon when an update is available.

You'll see a 4.5.3 soon, the fix being, support for previously unsupported configurations of the system.

4.5.2 is stable and safe version to use, just connect the system properly as it's shown in the guides that go with it.

One question:
The 4.5.3 read me says:

"VENUE 4.5.3 also provides updated versions of all plug-ins included with your system. Make sure to also update your plug-ins after you update your system software for best performance. Find the updated plug-ins instal
ler (S3L Plug-Ins Installer V4 64 Bit) in your Avid account."

But there is no V4 installer in it - it still says V3.

Also the ECx Software is gone.

This is likely just an error in the wording, this release was pushed out so quickly that the description is probably copy pasted. There should not be a new/different plugin installer version included with this release.

But what about the ECx Installer? Thats not available anymore for download.
