USB Keyboard not responding
I have a UMX25.
Since I installed the lastest update for PT10.3.3 it stopped working. I can go to the Utilities->AudioMidi Setup and the UMX25 is there. I can test it and pressing a key emits sound. But in PT there is no way I'm getting sound to the Virtual Instruments. Any help? |

Quote:
Try this Go to MacHD/user/Library>Preferences> and trash 'com.apple.midi.a bunch of numbers and letters.plist'. And also trash 'com.apple.audio.audiomidisetup.plist'. Empty the trash and restart, then see if everything is working. Chris

Re: USB Keyboard not responding
That's great advice and should work well. I had a similar problem with a couple of M-Audio Oxygen 8 keyboards, where PT couldn't see them (I replaced the first with a second). Audio MIDI Setup saw them, PT didn't... But in between testing with AMS and PT, I had moved the units slightly... turns out I had a bad USB cable that wanted to slip out of the keyboard(s). replacing that made things better...

Re: USB Keyboard not responding
It may be that the VI is muted, this is independent to the channel mute. Show the instrument at the top of the channel strip, check midi ins & mute status.
I would assume though that you would have tried several different instruments and aren't getting a midi signal into PT. |

Re: USB Keyboard not responding
Do u have a power source on the Midi keyboard or ur just powering it via usb? (If the other things don't work, u probably need to get an AC adapter if u don't have 1)
