Pro Tools Beachballing when selecting a midi clip in the edit window.

Has anyone else had this bug?

Pro Tools (12.5.1 & 12.5.2) goes into an endless spinning beachball when clicking on a midi clip to bring up the midi editor. It happens intermittently but its really infuriating me now. I'm trying to finish a piece of music for a job and I'm having to restore a backup every 30mins.

no system info, but let me try anyway to suggest a workaround until this can be fixed ..

1) toss your PT Pref's
2) if MAC use Control +/= to open the Midi Editor - not sure on PC, might be the same
